What if I have never played before or I am still new to the sport?
You are always welcome in our league!
Dodgeball San Diego was founded to foster an inclusive environment for all players — regardless of skill level or orientation. We believe that dodgeball is for all, and seek to ensure access to this sport on both a local and national level.
Joining a league can be an intimidating experience, we know first hand. However, this community is something amazing and we're here to ensure that you have the best possible experience. You'll leave each season with a whole host of new friends and a smile on your face!
How old do I have to be in order to participate?
All players must be 21 or older when the season begins.
How long are the seasons and how much do they cost?
Seasons are generally 7 weeks and cost around $50. There are some early-bird registration discounts available. Check individual season registration forms for the final prices and season length.
Do I need a team in order to sign up for the league?
Not at all! Sign up as a free agent or with a group of friends and we'll place you on an existing team. We firmly believe that bringing new players to existing teams provides the best experience.
What if I cannot make it every night during the season?
That is a-okay. We can help your team find players to sub in as needed.
What type of balls do you play with?
We play with either the classic 7" rubber "no-sting" balls or 7" WDBF foam balls.
How big are the teams?
We currently limit teams to 12 rostered members and play games 8 versus 8.
Is there a required uniform?
There is no official uniform required to play. Teams may create custom jerseys to play in if they wish. We also have Dodgeball San Diego tees available for purchase if you want a league shirt, but they are not required.
How many games do I play per night?
Most weeks will have teams playing in one or two 30 minute games per night. This is determined by final registration numbers.
